Case Study
Enhancing Operational Visibility and Financial Reporting through Qlik and Stirling Data Integration
OVERVIEW
In a highly dynamic logistics environment, operational efficiency and real-time insights are essential to maintain seamless workflows and improve decision-making. To achieve this, tick9 has developed an advanced reporting solution utilising Qlik as the primary data analytics and visualisation tool. The data for the reporting is sourced from the Stirling Transport Management System (TMS), a SQL-based backend which captures critical logistics and financial information. This solution delivers value by enhancing visibility into driver and vehicle performance, route optimisation, and financial receivables management.
Project Components
TV Overview Screen
This component provides real-time updates on the daily jobs assigned to each driver and vehicle. It is designed to be deployed on screens in each depot, offering all team members a clear view of the day’s operational progress.
Tracks when each vehicle or driver is expected to arrive at each location (drop).
Displays both the expected time of arrival (ETA) and the actual ETA, allowing staff to quickly identify potential delays.
Flags any jobs running late or already categorised as late, enabling proactive management of delays and ensuring timely communication with customers.ction.
TV Routes
The TV Routes screen provides a graphical representation of each driver and vehicle’s route, offering a comprehensive view of logistical operations across multiple depots.
Maps the route each vehicle takes and the location of each drop, giving depot managers an easy-to-read visual of route progress and driver locations.
Allows visualisation of total mileage per route, supporting better fuel management and operational efficiency.
Facilitates optimised route planning by allowing managers to adjust routes dynamically, minimising travel distance and time while maximising the number of completed jobs.
Aged Debtors
This component provides a focused view on overdue receivables, categorised by different business sections. This financial insight is critical for cash flow management and credit control.
Breaks down overdue debts into segments based on business sections, making it easier to understand where receivables are concentrated.
Ranks customers based on the age of debt, prioritising the oldest debts for faster resolution.
